Inaugural IST programme

The IST held its first intensive 4-day programme in October 2010, with 24 delegates representing 5 countries. The pilot programme was primarily directed at public servants, with places being offered to a small number of civil society practitioners, in order to expose public servants to civil society thinking and the ‘demand’ side of the access to information equation, with a view to developing consensus on realising the right of access to information.

Eight experienced trainers and practitioners were contracted from around the world to act as a Faculty to guide the delegates through an interactive programme of learning and training, supported by a small international advisory working group.
